We are located along the Gulf Coast & work with our communities through research-to-policy and research-to-practice initiatives, like meeting with legislators or developing mobile clinics. We are involved in numerous studies exploring precarious employment, structural violence, healthcare access, the social dimensions of health, and the use of research in policymaking.

Mission
Our mission is to partner with researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to improve policies and advance health equity among historically marginalized communities. We promote community outreach and participatory research that center’s the voices and experiences of workers, and facilitate systemic and sustainable change to improve labor and environmental conditions in which people work and live.
Objectives
Serve as an incubator for governmental, academic, and community partners to engage in policy and evidence-informed solutions.
Support outreach priorities for faculty and students to develop community-based solutions through participatory research methodologies.
Promote research on the intersection of biopsychosocial factors with labor and environmental health disparities.
